These Club records are based on the work completed in 2001 by a person unnamed, which included a thorough review of the league results sheets available at that time.  Hand written notes of records also go back to 1994.

In years gone by a club 'Best Grades' sheet over all the disciplines has been typed up at the end of the season providing valuable information for the records.

Although the records have had the odd addition since 2001 another thorough review was needed.  With thanks to the 'Power of 10' website things are now much easier but club PBs for a period or a season do not seem readily available.  Individual athletes records must be consulted with the obvious possibility of some important results being missed.  The above website goes back to 2006 (although it does note some earlier performances), consequently we are also short of a lot of information for the period from 2002 to 2005.  It also seems that for many years in the records the Junior and Senior categories were combined.  In some ways due to this there is a lack of olderrecord data for U20s.

There is a case for saying that further work should be done on the Indoor Results, perhaps even separating them.  They have however been reviewed back to Jan 2008 via the Essex website.

In some ways it would still appear true that for the records to be even more accurate the passing of record claim information to the Secretary by the athletes concerned would be helpful.

Apologies must be expressed to the athletes and others where any mistakes or omissions have occurred, although this may be due to the above in some instances. 
                   
Other events may still need to be added although road running is now detailed far more fully.
